Gone Baby Gone (2007) meets Tangled (2009) in this short thriller where a little girl discovers her mothers love and care may be much more sinister than sweet.
Mirror follows Mallory, a young girl itching to discover more than just her books and her home, where she abides with her mother Lisa. Much to Mallory’s dismay, her mother is not intending to let her explore the outside world anytime soon; little does Lisa know, her daughter is smarter than she knows.
I wrote two endings for this film since I couldn’t decide how I wanted to conclude the story. You can read the cynical ending here and the more optimistic ending here.
I’m currently in the process of getting this script turned into a film! I’m very excited to be a part of this team and process as filmmaking is a dream of mine.
As for which ending we’ve decided to use, well, you’ll have to wait and see.
